It is critical to evaluate the proper set up of your work environment because it is often the cause of most stress injuries, such as carpal tunnel in your wrist.

Because many people spend almost half of all of their waking hours sitting at a desk, it is important that your chair, desk and other equipment help your body maintain good posture and alignment. A healthy work station involves being aware of your seating, keyboard and mouse, computer monitor position and glare, telephone position, feet position, lighting and proper positioning of your work. It is critical to evaluate the proper set up of your work environment because it is often the cause of most repetitive stress injuries.

Things like improper chair position, cradling the phone between your ear and shoulder, or straining your neck to look at your computer monitor is not a big deal every once in a while, but when you do the same repetitive motions for several hours a day, several days a week, several weeks a month and so on, you will find that your body eventually has to give and in many cases will suffer pain, discomfort, poor posture and spinal disc damage. Unfortunately, most people don't correlate these problems to their day-to-day activity because they think it has to be caused by a specific traumatic event. That's just not the case. Check out these articles on what you need to know about proper set up of your work environment.

Reviews By Our Satisfied Patients

  • "Dr. Terrie Huls practically saved my life. After a freak accident and multiple surgeries, I could barely walk. Her chiropractic treatments over the last four years have made a significant difference in my life and have improved my walking. Not to mention the regular care has kept me fairly healthy from colds and viruses. I also highly recommend the new laser treatments. It has worked wonders on my knees. And the brain core treatments have helped me significantly with anxiety issues. Dr. Terrie always knows what I need to feel better, and her staff is top notch!"

  • "I have had lower back issues for several years and always wind my way back to Dr. Huls when it gets out of sorts! The office staff is amazing...Sydney and Brenda run a tight ship!! Dr. Huls is soooo good at what she does. You can trust her to diagnose the issue and treat it appropriately. This most recent one was a doosey, but we worked through it and I am so happy to have my back normal again. Here's to you, Terri, Brenda and Sydney! Thanks for everything!!"

  • "Terrie Huls and her staff are very professional and right on point. For years I have been leery of having a chiropractor work on me due to a rough experience with a place in Moundsville, WV. Huls Chiropractic was recommended to me by my massage therapist, Alita Ross of Tranquil Touch & coming from her, I took a leap of faith and chose to see Terry Huls & I am beyond pleased after seeing her off and on for the past couple months.. to begin with I needed every week, now I’m on a need to basis which is fantastic! I highly recommend this place of business, their staff, and their profession."
